Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario
National Weather Service Buffalo NY
1002 PM EDT Sat Jun 21 2025

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

A 30.1 inch high over the Mid-Atlantic and extending northward
across the Lake will retreat back south by the early overnight,
allowing a complex of thunderstorms to possibly dive southeastward
near or across the Lake later tonight into the first part of Sunday.
The 30.2 inch surface high still anchored over the east coast will
build back north for later Sunday through Tuesday. A frontal
boundary will then sag southward Tuesday night, and stall over or
near the Lake for Wednesday through Thursday, with a couple of weak
areas of low pressure averaging 30.0 inches rippling east along the
boundary during this time.
