830 FZUS61 KBUF 110802 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 402 AM EDT Thu Jun 11 2026 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A warm front will cross the lake tonight ahead of a 29.7 inch trough that will cross the lake later Friday. Associated with the trough, an attendant cold front across the lake Friday afternoon and evening. A 30.0 inch high will ridge across the lower Great Lakes Friday night through Sunday morning, before a cold front crosses the region later Sunday or Sunday night. The eastern edge of a 30.1 inch high over the central portion of the CONUS will push over the lake on Monday.
