For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.5 inch high draped across New York State will
exit off to our east while weakening to 30.4 inches tonight. A
pair of surface lows will then track across the region through
Friday. A 30.4 inch surface high will briefly pass over the lake
on Saturday. A 29.5 inch surface low will track from the Ohio
Valley and across or just south of the lake Saturday night into
Sunday.

...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY
AFTERNOON...

.TONIGHT...South winds 10 knots or less becoming southeast and
increasing to 15 to 20 knots after midnight. Snow likely late.
Waves 1 foot or less building to 2 to 4 feet.
.THURSDAY...East winds 15 to 25 knots becoming southwest. Snow in
the morning, then a chance of rain and snow likely early in the
afternoon. A chance of rain late. Waves 3 to 5 feet building to
3 to 6 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Southwest winds to 30 knots becoming west and
increasing to 35 knot gales overnight. A chance of snow showers
overnight. Waves 8 to 11 feet building to 11 to 16 feet. Waves
occasionally around 20 feet.
.FRIDAY...West gales to 35 knots. A chance of snow showers. Waves
12 to 16 feet subsiding to 8 to 11 feet. Waves occasionally
around 20 feet.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...West winds 15 to 25 knots. Waves 7 to 10 feet
subsiding to 3 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally around 13 feet.
.SATURDAY...West winds 5 to 15 knots becoming northeast 15 to
20 knots. A chance of snow during the day, then snow Saturday
night. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 4 to 6 feet.
.SUNDAY...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 10 to
15 knots. A chance of snow showers. Waves 3 to 6 feet subsiding
to 2 to 4 feet.
.MONDAY...West winds around 10 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

increasing to 40 knot gales overnight. A chance of rain in the
evening, then snow showers likely with a chance of rain showers
overnight. Waves 8 to 11 feet building to 14 to 19 feet. Waves

.FRIDAY...West gales to 35 knots diminishing to 30 knots. Snow
showers. Waves 15 to 19 feet subsiding to 10 to 14 feet. Waves

25 knots. Snow showers likely in the evening, then a chance of

20 knots. A chance of snow showers during the day, then snow
