618 FZUS61 KBUF 070202 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 1002 PM EDT Wed May 6 2026 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.6 inch low over northern Quebec will continue ot pull northeast overnight. A 30.1 inch high over the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys Thursday will slide to the mid-Atlantic coastline Friday. A 29.6 inch low will track across the lake early Saturday, followed by a 29.7 inch low that will track near or just south of the lake for later Sunday. This low will bring a cold front to sweep across the region, where a surface low will ride north along the boundary across the Mid-Atlantic region Monday.
