703 FZUS61 KBUF 122002 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 402 PM EDT Sat Jul 12 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.7 inch low north of Lake Superior will make its way to James Bay tonight while deepening to 29.3 inches. The low will then lift north across Hudson Bay and into northern Quebec Sunday...while slowly dragging its trailing cold front across the lake late Sunday and Sunday night. A 30.1 inch high will slowly drift from the Upper Midwest to New England Monday through Wednesday...then a 29.7 inch low will track northeastward across the Great Lakes and into Quebec Wednesday night and Thursday.
