626 FZUS61 KBUF 242001 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 401 PM EDT Sat May 24 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.7 inch low will drift slowly from Maine to New Brunswick tonight. This weak low will move slowly east across the Canadian Maritimes Sunday, then into the North Atlantic Monday. An expansive 30.4 inch high will then settle into the Great Lakes Monday, and expand to southern New England by Tuesday before drifting off the southern New England coast Wednesday. A dissipating 29.9 inch low will track just north of the lake on Thursday.
