* Until 1145 PM CDT.
* At 1058 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles northwest of Burkesville to 7 miles
northeast of Lafayette, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
Tompkinsville, Albany, Burkesville, Leslie, Gamaliel, Littrell,
Desda, Cartwright, Snow, and Savage.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for south central
Kentucky.
