...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CLARK...BOURBON AND
CENTRAL NICHOLAS COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT...
At 501 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Pecks Ridge to near Paris. Movement was
southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Winchester, Paris, Carlisle, North Middletown, Blacks Crossroads,
Hutchison, Renick, Stony Point, Moorefield, and Clintonville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central Kentucky.
