Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana
National Weather Service Louisville KY
405 PM EDT Mon Oct 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...A cold front will move across the region tonight into Tuesday,
bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms and rainfall amounts of between
1 and 3 inches. Isolated swaths of 3 to 6 inches could lead to a few instances
of minor flooding; however, in general, this should be a beneficial rainfall
for most of the area. Rain should come to an end Tuesday night, with cooler
and drier weather expected for the second half of this week.
