Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana
National Weather Service Louisville KY
333 PM EST Tue Nov 26 2024

.DISCUSSION...Low pressure moving through the Tennessee Valley
will introduce showers to the region Wednesday afternoon, which
will become widespread Wednesday night before pushing out
Thanksgiving morning. Amounts will be light...generally under a
half inch.

The big story then arrives after Thanksgiving as very cold air
surges into the region. The coldest nights will be Sunday night
and Monday night with widespread teens for lows. Daytime highs
will mostly be in the 30s Friday through Tuesday. We might even
see up to an inch of snowfall Saturday night.

Though occasional periods of warmth are possible, colder than
normal weather is expected to be the main theme through the end of
the traditional fire weather season (December 15).
