.DISCUSSION... Prolonged heat and dry weather will be with us through
at least Thursday and potentially into they day Friday. Highs will continue
to be in the mid to upper 90s with heat index values getting above 100 by
Wednesday and Thursday. We do expect winds to increase some each afternoon
with dry air mixing, this will lower dew points down some. Min RH values
will range mostly between 35-45 percent with some being as high as 50 and
some lower than 35 percent. With the mixing, there could be areas that
see a few wind gusts of 15 to 20 mph but not expected to be widespread.
Our next chance for showers and storms could come as early as Friday
afternoon or evening but looking more likely towards the weekend. Even
then the chances are still around 30-40 percent.
