...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana, including the following
  counties, Clark, Floyd, Jefferson and Scott and central Kentucky,
  including the following counties, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby
  and Trimble.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 848 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 4.5 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Jeffersonville, New Albany, Madison, La Grange, Scottsburg,
    Prospect, Worthington Hills, Coldstream, Bedford and
    Clarksville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
