Cumberland River At Burkesville affecting Monroe and Cumberland Counties. .Heavy rain from the past 36 hours has caused the river to rise. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Water approaches houses near Traces on the Cumberland. At 48.0 feet, Flooding occurs on Parmley Rd, Goose Creek Rd, Reed Rd, Cabin Rd, Otter Creek Rd and Big McFarland Rd. At 51.0 feet, Flooding in the Burkesville area begins including flooding of Garman Ferry Rd, Scotts Ferry Rd and Cumberland Dr. Flood waters approach multiple properties near Traces on the Cumberland. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 49.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 42.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:15 PM CDT Thursday was 49.2 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 50.4 feet this evening.
