OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
908 PM CDT Sat Apr 19 2025

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

The high pressure around 30.5 inches will linger and strengthen
tonight over the central Great Lakes before it shifts eastward
Sunday as low pressure of 29.5 inches lifts into the area from the
southern Plains. Expect increasing east to northeasterly winds to
develop Sunday as Lake Michigan sits in between the departing
high and an approaching low. The low will lift across the northern
half of the lake on Monday, with winds turning westerly across
the lake as it departs. Gusts to around 30 knots are expected, but
some gales can not be ruled out, especially over the western
portions of the lake.
