911 FZUS63 KMKX 082005 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 305 PM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... High pressure of 30.5 inches centered over northern Wisconsin this afternoon will shift eastward tonight into tomorrow, becoming centered over New York by evening. Northerly winds through the rest of today will gradually veer to southerly by late Thursday morning as the high shifts eastward. Southwest winds will then increase Thursday night into Friday ahead of an approaching low and associated cold front. Wind gusts of 20 to 30 knots will be possible through this windier period. Northerly winds will return Saturday on the back side of the low of 29.9 inches over Michigan.
