531 FZUS63 KMKX 200848 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 248 AM CST Thu Nov 20 2025 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... High pressure of 30.3 inches will remain over the eastern Great Lakes through today, while low pressure of 29.5 inches progresses eastward through northern Ontario and deepens to 29.4 inches in the Hudson Bay overnight tonight. Expect light southwesterly winds to develop this morning, becoming breezy this afternoon and evening. Winds shift to become northwesterly and diminish overnight as a cold front from this low progresses eastward across the open waters. Light northwest winds continue through Friday, becoming light and variable Saturday as weak high pressure around 30.0 inches passes over the lake. Winds will become southwesterly again Saturday night into Sunday, and westerly by Sunday night as an additional low pressure system deepens across the Hudson Bay and brings another weak cold front through the Lake.
