734 FZUS63 KMKX 191349 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 849 AM CDT Fri Sep 19 2025 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... East to northeast winds gradually build today, reaching 15 to 20 kt speeds over northern portions of the lake as high pressure of 30.3 inches drifts southeastward across Ontario Canada. High pressure deepens to 30.4 inches tonight, working with weak surface low pressure over the northern Great Plains to veer winds east to southeast, with the fastest speeds tonight (around 25 kts) over the southern half of the lake. Southeast winds gradually subside throughout Saturday, remaining a bit breezy over the northern tip of the lake. Slower winds will veer due south into Sunday. Intermittent rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight through Monday night.
