FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Low pressure around 29.5 inches over northern Minnesota will
progress eastward into Lake Superior overnight, bringing strong
south to southwest winds to Lake Michigan. A Gale Warning is in
effect for the open waters through early Friday morning.

A cold front will cross the lake into early Friday morning,
shifting winds to westerly and bringing gusts to 30 knots at
times. Low pressure will strengthen to 29.3 inches over Ontario
Friday, bringing brisk northwest to north winds through Friday
night.

An additional low pressure system around 29.8 inches develops
over the northern Plains into Friday night, progressing southeast
into west central Illinois Saturday. North to northwest gales may
develop later Saturday night into Sunday across the southern half
of the open waters, as this low strengthens to around 29.6 inches
over Illinois. Northwest to north winds remain gusty into
Monday, with some gales possible. Winds become southwesterly into
Tuesday, as low pressure moves across Ontario. Gales are possible
once again on Tuesday.

40 kt late this evening, then becoming south gales to 40 kt after
midnight becoming southwest gales to 35 kt late. Scattered rain
showers through early evening, then rain showers overnight. Waves
5 to 8 ft occasionally to 10 ft building to 8 to 12 ft
occasionally to 16 ft.
.FRIDAY...Southwest winds to 30 kt becoming northwest. Isolated
rain showers. Waves 8 to 11 ft occasionally to 14 ft subsiding to
4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...North winds to 30 kt diminishing to 10 to 20 kt.
Chance of rain showers in the evening. Waves 4 to 7 ft
occasionally to 9 ft subsiding to 3 to 5 ft.
.SATURDAY...North winds 10 to 15 kt. Chance of rain and snow in
the afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 ft subsiding to 1 to 2 ft.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...North winds 15 to 25 kt increasing to 30 kt.
Snow and rain likely in the evening, then chance of snow
overnight. Waves 2 to 4 ft building to 5 to 8 ft occasionally to
10 ft.
.SUNDAY...North winds to 30 kt increasing to gales to 35 kt. Snow
likely. Waves 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft building to 8 to
11 ft occasionally to 14 ft.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...North gales to 35 kt. Snow likely. Waves 8 to
12 ft occasionally to 16 ft.
.MONDAY...North winds to 30 kt becoming northwest. Snow showers
likely. Waves 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft subsiding to 6 to
9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.
.TUESDAY...Southwest winds to 30 kt increasing to gales to 35 kt.
