...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM PDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Temperatures in local valleys will range from 98 to 106.

* WHERE...Northern Lander County and Northern Eureka County,
  Northern Elko County, South Central Elko County, Southeastern Elko
  County, Southwest Elko County, Humboldt County, Northeastern Nye
  County, and Northwestern Nye County Counties.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hot afternoon temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Warm overnight temperatures may not allow
  adequate recovery from daytime heat stresses

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
