* WHAT...High temperatures 97 to 102 degrees in the valleys.

* WHERE...Northern Lander and Northern Eureka, Northern Elko, South
  Central Elko, Southeastern Elko, Southwest Elko, Humboldt,
  Northeastern Nye, and Northwestern Nye Counties.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM PDT Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, reduce time
in the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
