The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southwestern St. John The Baptist Parish in southeastern
  Louisiana...
  Northern St. Charles Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  North central Lafourche Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 630 AM CDT.

* At 601 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Reserve, moving southeast at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Laplace, Reserve, Garyville, and Edgard around 605 AM CDT.
  Killona around 610 AM CDT.
  Montz around 615 AM CDT.
  Hahnville and Taft around 620 AM CDT.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 197 and 207.
 Interstate 310 between mile markers 4 and 11.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
