The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
North central St. John The Baptist Parish in southeastern
Louisiana...
* Until 345 PM CDT.
* At 309 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 9 miles north of Laplace, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
north central St. John The Baptist Parish.
This includes Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 5 and
11.
