* Until 1000 AM CDT.

* At 900 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Barataria, or
  13 miles northeast of Larose, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mathews, Buras, Cut Off, Pointe A La Hache, Estelle, Montegut,
  Gray, Boothville-venice, Violet, Terrytown, Venice, Marrero,
  Gretna, Tambour Bay Buoy, Westwego, Shell Beach, Port Sulphur,
  Boothville, Chauvin, and Empire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
