...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN ST.
CHARLES, CENTRAL JEFFERSON AND EAST CENTRAL LAFOURCHE PARISHES
THROUGH 700 PM CDT
...

At 620 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Jean Lafitte, or 9 miles southwest of Marrero, moving south at 15
mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Jean Lafitte, Barataria, and Lafitte.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in New Orleans.
