...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF ST. TAMMANY, SOUTHERN
TANGIPAHOA PARISHES IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND SOUTHWESTERN PEARL
RIVER COUNTIES THROUGH 1100 PM CDT
...

At 1032 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
capable of producing waterspouts over marine areas along a line
extending from 7 miles southeast of Wilmer to 8 miles east of
Whitehall. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, winds in excess of 40 mph, and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
         and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Madisonville, Lacombe, W Lk Pontchartrain Buoy, Folsom, Covington,
Sun, Abita Springs, Ponchatoula, Natalbany, Slidell Airport, Robert,
Hammond, Bush, Springfield, and Slidell.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 12 between mile markers 36 and 81.
 Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 15 and 32.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for southeastern
Louisiana.
