Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20 NM... * Until 645 AM CDT. * At 441 AM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts was located 16 nm northeast of Pilottown, moving northwest at 5 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
