The areas affected include... Coastal Waters from Port Fourchon LA to Lower Atchafalaya River LA out 20 nm... Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... At 1145 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots, weak waterspouts and small hail. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located 11 nm southwest of Isle Derniers, moving east at 10 knots. Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher waves, small hail and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes. Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity.
