A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
  Coastal Waters from Stake Island LA to Southwest Pass of the
  Mississippi River from 20 to 60 nm...
  Coastal waters from Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to
  Port Fourchon Louisiana from 20 to 60 NM...

At 451 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This
cluster of thunderstorms is generally located along a line extending
from 36 nm southeast of Southwest Pass Of the Mississippi River to 80
nm southeast of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, moving southwest at 10
knots.

Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher
waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until this activity passes.
