A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

At 722 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and weak waterspouts. This
thunderstorm was located near Cat Island, moving east at 15 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until this activity passes.

Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on
alert in case warnings are issued for waterspout development.
