.DISCUSSION...

Still no fire weather concerns through midweek, as a humid air
mass remains in place across the region with relative humidity
remaining generally above 60 percent in most places even during
the afternoon hours. With the active pattern we have experienced
impressive wetting rains along with additional rain over the next
18 to 24 hours or so. Fire should not be a concern for the
foreseeable future. Even as we start to dry out at midweek, the
very wet soils should at least keep things benign for the next
week.

1) Probability intensity and duration of fog tonight into Tuesday
morning

Patchy fog may be possible between midnight and sunrise, however, probabilities
of dense forg are much less than this morning with dry air moving in late
behind the front.

2) Timing and amounts of rain expected today

Best timing looks to be from late morning through early to mid evening. The
amounts look to average around one inch, but locally higher amounts of 2 to 4
inches are reasonable especially if multiple thunderstorms develop and impact
the site.
