High pressure will build over the area this weekend and remain in place into early next week. The main impact from this will be hotter and drier weather conditions. Highs will peak in the low 90s and heat index readings will climb into the low 100s each day through the middle of next week. Winds will remain light at 10 mph or less and will generally be from the south or southeast through the middle of next week. The risk of thunderstorms will be lower than average on Monday and Tuesday due to the high being over the area. Thunderstorm activity will be most likely in the early morning hours, generally between 3 am and 10 am. In the afternoon and evening hours, the seabreeze is expected to push any thunderstorm threats further inland. Overall, there is a moderate degree of confidence that a 4 to 8 hour window of less than a 20 percent chance of thunderstorm and lightning activity will exist between Noon and Midnight on both Monday and Tuesday. .TODAY...
