Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
407 AM CDT Tue Mar 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry air is in place for the first half of this week with
minimum humidity values falling to 25 to 35 percent this
afternoon during peak mixing. Moisture levels should then
moderate for the second half of the week as winds turn
southerly and Gulf moisture begins to feed in. Fog
concerns should also increase in the second half of the
week. A strong storm system will bring another chance of
rain to the area on Saturday.
