Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
123 AM CDT Tue Sep 1 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Coverage of showers and thunderstorms will remain elevated
through much of the week. Rain totals will be highly dependent on
where the heavier thunderstorms move as a few storms will be
capable of producing locally heavy rainfall, especially in areas
near the coast. Afternoon minimum humidities will be well above
critical levels all week.
