Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
512 PM CDT Fri Jul 4 2025

Fog development will not be a concern across the area tonight
into tomorrow morning. Slightly drier air is still sliding into
the area and will remain in place for at least the first half of
the holiday weekend. Minimum RH values will decrease to between
40 and 50 percent through Saturday. For next week, winds will
shift back to the south and this will allow for a return of
scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late morning and
afternoon hours. Minimum RH values will also increase to 55 to
65 percent on the back of the southerly flow.
