Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1233 PM CDT Tue Jul 29 2025

Ridge of high pressure will continue to build west as we go into
today, which will continue thru mid/late week. With that, NW flow
will build and moisture levels will steadily rise, yielding
greater mainly afternoon and evening shower and thunderstorm
activity. Minimum relative humidity levels will steadily increase
from the upper 40`s to 50`s today, to the 60`s to 70`s mid/late
week from increasing atmospheric moisture, with winds remaining
generally light.
