Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
437 AM CST Sun Nov 9 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Moist regime continues until arctic front moves through this
morning. It will bring strong northerly winds and much colder,
drier air to the region Monday through Wednesday. Min RH values
will be at critically low levels (below 30%) on Monday and
Tuesday with breezy conditions expected to persist through Monday
which will elevate the risk for wildfires. A surface high will
filter into the area by Tuesday, keeping the winds below critical
thresholds while min RH gets down into the mid to upper 20s.
