Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
259 PM CST Fri Nov 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Drier and cooler air has moved into the area and will remain over
the area through the first half of the weekend. Min RH values
dipped into the 30-40% range today, but should increase through
the weekend to the 60% range. Winds should remain on the lighter
side through the weekend. Combine that with the recent rainfall
and dangerous fire weather conditions are not anticipated. Return
flow will set up the second half of the weekend bringing generally
southerly winds and moisture will begin to return driving the
increase in RH and rain chances early next week.
