Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA

.DISCUSSION...

Drier air that filtered into the region over the weekend will
remain in place through the middle of this week. Main focus will
be on strong afternoon mixing each day, resulting in lower
dewpoints down into the 50`s to some areas in the 40`s especially
today and Tuesday. MinRH`s range in the 30`s, can`t rule out some
isolated upper 20`s, especially inland coastal MS and SW MS. Weak
seabreeze boundary can be expected on Monday, but will struggle
to advect far north given offsetting northerly flow. Areas across
the MS coast ahead of this boundary near and north of the
interstate is where it`ll be more likely to see upper 20 minRH`s
each day. Otherwise, winds will remain light with no rain chances
all through next week. Will also see a slow/steady increase in
moisture mid/late week as winds switch more easterly to eventual
southeasterly pulling Gulf moisture north, but overall still dry
with no rain chances.
