Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1225 AM CDT Tue Aug 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Scattered daily showers and storms are expected through
Wednesday. More numerous showers and storms are forecast late in
the week as a weak frontal boundary stalls near or just north of
the area. RH values will remain well above any critical
thresholds and winds will remain light through the period. Areas
of light fog with some patchy moderate fog are expected this
morning(Tuesday) in southwest Mississippi and the Florida
Parishes due to saturated soils from evening rainfall. Another
round of patchy light fog has a low chance of development in
southwest Misssissippi for Wednesday morning.
