Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
438 PM CST Thu Nov 27 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Very dry conditions will continue through Friday as persistent
northerly winds usher in both a colder and drier airmass from the
north. Minimum RH values will fall to between 25 and 35 percent
each day. Winds will be just below red flag criteria, but the
continued dry conditions across the region will support an
elevated fire danger the next two days. A series of low pressure
systems will bring higher rain chances and humidity back to the
region over the weekend and into early next week.
