Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
438 PM CST Sat Nov 22 2025

.DISCUSSION...

The next rain is expected Monday night into Tuesday, associated
with a low pressure system now moving out of the Pacific across
Baja and into the desert southwest. Rain amounts with this system
look to range from a few hundredths at the coast to around
3/4 inch in the southwest MS counties. RH will remain quite high
ahead of that system, with minimum values around 50 percent
Sunday and Monday. The fog threat is expected to be lower on
Sunday and Monday mornings than the last few days. Winds are
expected to have a northerly component on Sunday and southerly on
Monday.
