Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
335 PM CST Sat Nov 9 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Moist easterly flow will stay in place through this
weekend keeping very warm temperatures each day.
A frontal boundary moving into southwest Mississippi and
the Atchafalaya River Basin could produce heavy rainfall
across portions of southwest Mississippi and adjacent
portions of southeast Louisiana parishes overnight tonight
into Sunday morning.

Drier air will begin to move into the area early in the
workweek. A stronger cold front is likely to move into
south Mississippi and southeast Louisiana late in the week.
