Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
833 PM CDT Sun Jun 14 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Summerlike conditions will remain in place today with high
pressure anchored over the eastern Gulf. This pattern will
support light to moderate southerly to southeasterly winds near
10 mph, while afternoon minimum RH values generally fall into the
50 to 60 percent range. Moisture will increase early this week as
a weak front approaches and moves into the region. This will
result in higher rain chances beginning Monday, along with
minimum RH values climbing into the 65 to 75 percent range. Winds
will also become slightly stronger, mainly from the south to
southeast around 10 to 15 mph.
