Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1127 AM CST Fri Nov 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...

**Dense Fog is likely across portions of Southeast MS and near
the Pearl River Basin of southeast LA. Fog development will be
favored across areas along and north of I-10/12 Friday and
Saturday mornings**

We will continue to see a steady moistening trend through
Saturday, which in turn will raise afternoon min RH values into
the 60`s to 70`s following mixing Friday and Saturday.
Additionally, dense fog development will be more favored on
Friday and Saturday mornings. An Arctic front will move through
on Sunday introducing strong northerly winds and much colder,
drier air to the region Monday through Wednesday. Min RH values
will be at critically low levels (below 30%) on Monday and
Tuesday with breezy conditions expected to persist through Monday
which will elevate the risk for wildfires.
