Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
621 PM CDT Tue Aug 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop again late this
afternoon and late tomorrow afternoon. More numerous showers and
storms are forecast late in the week as a weak frontal boundary
stalls near the area. RH values will remain well above any
critical thresholds and winds will remain light through the
period. Areas of light fog with some patchy moderate fog are
possible over any areas tomorrow morning that see rain late today
or overnight.
