Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1234 PM CDT Sat Jul 12 2025

Fog potential to remain low now into early next week. Scattered
showers and thunderstorms are anticipated again today, possibly
becoming more numerous on Sunday. Its not until the first half of
next week that rain chances pull back quite a bit as ridge
induced subsidence stunts convection. Main impacts from any
storms that do develop will be gusty winds and brief moderate
rainfall.

Minimum RH values will generally range between 50 and 65 percent.
Winds will remain light out of the south to southwest throughout
the period, with occasional shift in speed and direction
primarily driven by nearby thunderstorms or localized influences
such as lake and sea breezes.
