Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1233 AM CDT Sun Jul 13 2025

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are anticipated again today.
Monday and especailly Tuesday rain chances pull back quite a bit
as ridge induced subsidence stunts convection but this won`t
last. Main impacts from any storms that do develop will be gusty
winds and brief moderate rainfall. Shower and thunderstorm
potential picks up for the second half of the week as deep
moisture moves back in.

Minimum RH values will generally range between 50 and 65 percent.
Winds will remain light out of the south to southwest throughout
the period, with occasional shift in speed and direction
primarily driven by nearby thunderstorms or localized influences
such as lake and sea breezes.
