...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Louisiana...

  Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting Pointe Coupee,
  East Baton Rouge and West Feliciana Parishes.

  Mississippi River At Baton Rouge affecting West Baton Rouge and
  East Baton Rouge Parishes.

For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing, Baton
Rouge...Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY, MAY 04...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing.

* WHEN...Until Sunday, May 04.

* IMPACTS...At 58.0 feet, Angola farmland on the left bank becomes
  inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 49.0 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 57.0
    feet Wednesday, April 23. It will then fall below flood stage
    Saturday, May 03.
  - Flood stage is 48.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT TO FRIDAY,
MAY 02...

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Baton Rouge.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night to Friday, May 02.

* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, The grounds of the older part of Louisiana
  State University`s campus become soggy. This includes the area
  around the Veterinary Medicine building, the Veterinary Medicine
  Annex, the stadium and ball fields. The city of Baton Rouge and
  the main LSU campus are protected by levees at this level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 31.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Wednesday morning to a crest of 40.6 feet Wednesday,
    April 23. It will then fall below flood stage Friday, May 02.
  - Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
