...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of southeast Louisiana,
including the following parishes, Assumption, Central Tangipahoa,
East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Eastern Ascension, Iberville,
Lower Lafourche, Lower Tangipahoa, Lower Terrebonne, Northern
Livingston, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, Southern Livingston,
St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John The Baptist, Upper
Lafourche, Upper Terrebonne, West Baton Rouge, West Feliciana and
Western Ascension and southern Mississippi, including the following
areas, Amite, Pike and Wilkinson.

The flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flood Watch is being
cancelled.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following
  parishes, Central Plaquemines, Coastal Jefferson Parish, Eastern
  Orleans, Lower Jefferson, Lower Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard,
  Northern St. Tammany, Southeast St. Tammany, Southwestern St.
  Tammany, Upper Jefferson, Upper Plaquemines, Upper St. Bernard,
  Washington and Western Orleans and southern Mississippi, including
  the following areas, Northern Hancock, Northern Harrison, Northern
  Jackson, Pearl River, Southern Hancock, Southern Harrison,
  Southern Jackson and Walthall.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT this morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue
    overnight. Some storms will likely be slow moving or even
    stationary, resulting in a prolonged period of high rainfall
    rates. These slow-moving storms could result in localized
    additional rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches with locally
    higher amounts especially east of the Pearl River.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
