Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron
National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI
1203 PM EDT Tue Mar 11 2025

For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front, average pressure 29.60 inches, will move
across the eastern Great Lakes early today. High pressure, 30.10
inches, will then expand into the northern Great Lakes late today
into tonight. This will result in gradual weakening of the winds
across the lakes. The high pressure will build into southern
Quebec on Wednesday leading to a light easterly wind component
across the lakes. This low pressure system will gradually depart
the region during the end of the week as a strong slow moving low
pressure system crosses the central plains.
