For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure, 30.50 inches, builds directly into the
Great Lakes this morning. The next low pressure system then
tracks through the area late tonight to Thursday morning with
strong westerly winds in its wake Thursday night into Friday
morning. A Gale Watch remains in effect for Lake Huron. The next
low pressure system arrives Saturday night.

MORNING...

.TODAY...West winds 10 to 15 knots becoming southwest 5 to
10 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 feet
subsiding to 1 to 3 feet in the afternoon.
.TONIGHT...South winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast 15 to
20 knots. A chance of snow after midnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet
building to 3 to 5 feet after midnight.
.THURSDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots becoming south 15 to
20 knots in the late morning and early afternoon...then becoming
southwest 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 35 knot gales early in the
afternoon. A chance of snow. Waves 4 to 6 feet building to 6 to
9 feet early in the afternoon. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...West winds to 30 knots increasing to 35 knot
gales in the late evening and early morning...then decreasing to
30 knots after midnight. Gusts to 40 knot gales. Waves 14 to
18 feet. Waves occasionally around 23 feet. A gale warning may be
needed.
.FRIDAY...West winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts to around 30 knots
decreasing to 10 to 15 knots. Waves 10 to 14 feet subsiding to
3 to 5 feet. Waves occasionally around 18 feet.
.SATURDAY...West winds 5 to 10 knots veering to the east until
early evening...then increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the late
evening and early morning. A chance of snow until early evening.
Waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet in the late evening and
early morning.
.SUNDAY...North winds 10 to 15 knots backing to the west until
early morning. Waves 3 to 5 feet.
