837 FZUS63 KDTX 171401 GLFLH Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI 1001 AM EDT Fri Oct 17 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...High pressure will wash out into the west Atlantic through the end of the week while a low pressure system moves from the northern Plains into west Ontario. This will strengthen the pressure gradient over the Great Lakes, increasing wind speeds through the afternoon and evening. Low pressure, 29.20 inches, will then rapidly develop and move over Michigan Sunday, bringing increasing potential to see gales for a greater portion of the region.
