For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure, 29.20 inches, over eastern Lake Superior
this morning dragged a cold front across the Great Lakes with a
short period of gales expected through the Straits. High pressure
building in today but gusty westerly flow will remain through the
day before decreasing overnight and Friday.

.REST OF TODAY...West winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 35 knot
gales. Waves 6 to 9 feet. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.
.TONIGHT...West winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts to around
30 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots. Waves 5 to 7 feet subsiding
to 1 to 3 feet. Waves occasionally around 10 feet.
.FRIDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots until late afternoon
becoming light and variable. Waves 2 feet or less.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...Light and variable winds becoming east 5 to
10 knots in the late evening and overnight. A chance of rain and
snow after midnight. Waves 2 feet or less.
.SATURDAY...East winds 5 to 10 knots backing to the northeast
late in the morning...then becoming northwest 10 to 15 knots late
in the afternoon. A chance of rain. Waves 1 to 3 feet building to
2 to 4 feet late in the evening.
.SUNDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 2 to 4 feet.
.MONDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to
20 knots. A chance of snow until afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 feet
building to 5 to 7 feet until early morning. Waves occasionally
around 10 feet.
