For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to strong west-northwest winds persist
through the night as colder air filters in. A few sporadic gusts
to gales possible over northern Lake Huron. High pressure, 30.10
inches, then expands over the region Thursday into Friday.

after midnight. Sporadic gusts to 35 knot gales. A chance of
showers. Waves 8 to 12 feet. Waves occasionally around 15 feet.
.THURSDAY...West winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts to around
30 knots. Waves 8 to 12 feet. Waves occasionally around 15 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...West winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest
10 to 15 knots in the late evening and overnight. Waves 5 to
7 feet. Waves occasionally around 10 feet.
.FRIDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves 2 to 4 feet
subsiding to 1 to 3 feet in the late morning and afternoon.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...East winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast 10 to
15 knots in the late evening and overnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.SATURDAY...South winds 15 to 20 knots becoming southwest 20 to
25 knots late in the afternoon...then becoming northwest to
30 knots with gusts to 35 knot gales late in the evening. A
chance of rain in the morning...then rain likely. Snow likely
late in the evening. Waves 5 to 7 feet building to 8 to 12 feet
late in the evening. Waves occasionally around 15 feet.
.SUNDAY...Northwest winds to 30 knots increasing to 35 knot gales
until early evening...then decreasing to 20 to 25 knots in the
late evening and early morning. Gusts to 40 knot gales decreasing
to 30 knots in the late evening and early morning. A chance of
rain and snow early in the morning...then snow likely in the late
morning and early afternoon. A chance of snow until early
morning. Waves 10 to 14 feet. Waves occasionally around 18 feet.
A gale warning may be needed.
.MONDAY...Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 5 to
10 knots. Waves 6 to 9 feet subsiding to 3 to 5 feet in the late
evening and early morning. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.
